A 10 year old girl,from Naqada village in Upper Egypt's Qena province, died on 9/6 morning from the H5N1 strain of the avian influenza virus, officials reported. A spokesperson from Egypt's health ministry confirmed that she was the youngest person to die of avian influenza in the country to date. The previous youngest was a 15-year-old girl who died on 10 April.
