Warda Eid Ahmed, 27, from Bany Suef province, south of Cairo, developed symptoms on 9 January 2007 was transferred to hospital in the capital on Jan. 13 suffering from pneumonia. She died today after six days in hospital.
Another five persons were suspected of having been infected with avian influenza.
