Hong Kong suspended live poultry trading

Sales of live poultry have been suspended after samples of poultry droppings taken from a live bird market at Tuen Mun tested positive for the H7N9 avian influenza virus.The positive sample was detected at a market in Tuen Mun on May 16. The stall sells live chickens and pigeons. There are two poultry stalls in the market. H7N9 was not detected in the other stall.
