UK: High incidence of S. enteritidis in Layers flocks

According to the surveillance report published by the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (May 2008), an increasing number of salmonella enteritidis isolates has been recorded in the first quarter of 2008. All incidences were reported in commercial layers flocks, producing eggs for human consumption.
