The European Commission has announced its decision on the non-inclusion of Formaldehyde (product type-20: preservatives for food or feedstocks) under Annex 1A or 1B of the biocidal product directive 98/8/EC. Biocides used as feed preservatives and containing Formaldehyde will be banned from 1 July 2015.
