Highly pathogenic avian influenza in Myanmar

The OIE published a report indicating a new outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in Yangon, the country's biggest city.
The H5N1 virus was detected in chickens and ducks in Yangon's western suburbs.
The virus killed 68 birds, and another 1,292 were slaughtered in a bid to contain the disease.
