South Africa's agriculture ministry reported an HPAI H5N8 outbreak at a commercial ostrich farm in Western Cape province in the south of the country.
South Africa has had several H5N8 outbreaks since the middle of 2017, and it reported its last outbreak involving the strain on Sep 17.
