An outbreak of salmonellosis was reported in the city of Zlin, Czech Republic, in the middle of March at Tomáše Bati Regional Hospital. 
A total of 68 people were affected more than half are patients. 
The source of contamination is a common chicken and rice dish served for lunch on March 14.
The  serovar was identified as Salmonella enteritidis.
