Ireland: Avian Influenza confirmed at poultry farm

A case of avian influenza has been confirmed at a farm in County Monaghan, Ireland.
According to the Department of Agriculture, a case of "avian influenza" has been identified in a commercial layer  flock. The virus strain involved is a low pathogenic H6N1.
Up to 300,000 birds have been culled.
