Tissue from a young chicken (X40; insert X200)
Description: Brain. Cerebellar folia with multifocal liquifactive necrosis, Hyaline thrombi, hemorrhage, white matter demyelination and edema, and degeneration to necrosis of Purkinji cells.
Morphologic diagnosis: sever, multifocal, acute encephalomalacia with hyaline thrombi in blood capillaries.
Disease Diagnosis: Vitamin E Deficiency
