The company is seeking a buyer for Abic and Ivax's veterinary drug unit.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has decided that the veterinary medicine business is not a strategic business. The company has therefore decided to seek a buyer for its veterinary arm, Abic Biological Laboratories Teva Ltd., as well as the veterinary business of Ivax Corp., acquired in 2006. Sources estimate that a deal would be worth tens of millions of dollars (Globes).
