USA: Country of origin labeling

Starting Sept. 30, food manufacturers and retailers to notify their customers of the country of origin of covered commodities to comply with a new federal law (7 CFR part 65) that requires "Country of Origin Labeling" on beef, pork, chicken, goat and lamb.
Requirements do not apply to covered commodities produced or packaged before September 30, 2008.
