Russia: Turkish Poultry Import Quota Would Be Raised

In May, Russia and Turkey signed a number of protocols on agriculture, including two aimed at simplifying procedures for Turkish companies looking to export poultry and products to Russia. During the visit the Russian agriculture minister announced that the Turkish poultry import quota would be raised from 57,000 tonnes in 2010 to 150,000 tonnes in 2011 and stated that there were now no legal barriers to Turkish imports.
