Chilean competition authorities will penalize Agrosuper for being part of an alleged chicken cartel in the domestic market. Besides Agrosuper, two other chicken producing companies, Ariztia and Don Pollo, racked up $60 million in fines for collusion.
According to Chile’s Court of Defense of Free Competition (TDLC), the three companies agreed to set prices in the market for chicken meat and limit production offered to the domestic market by allocating production quotas.
