South Korea's Agricultural Ministry confirmed the detection of a new avian influenza case, which is highly pathogenic, at a poultry farm in the port city of Busan.
The authorities conducted tests on 6,000 birds in the farm after some of the birds died after being brought from another part of the country.
The birds that died were from Gunsan region and sold to poultry farms across the country. Following aa avian influenza outbreak in November 2016, the South Korean authorities culled more than 33 million birds.
