Avian influenza H5N1 was confirmed in a kindergarden in Binyamina.
18 out of 25 different poultry (Ducks, chickens and pigeons) died in the last week (Mortality started at 27 December 2007) the remaining birds were destroyed by the Israeli Veterinary Services.

The last report of the disease from Israel was in march 2006.
