Two additional H5N1 cases were confirmed by serological testing, thus providing final H5N1 infection test results on a previously reported family cluster of four brothers  in Peshawar.
- Case 1 (Index case): Mohammed Ishtiaq (a veterinarian who slaughtered chickens suspected of carrying avian influenza at a farm near Abbottabad)onset date: 29/10/07; confirmed by serology test - Fully recovered.
- Case 2: onset date:  12/11/07; Died on November 19 . - Close contact with Case 1. No sample available.
- Case 3: onset date:  21/11/07; Died on November 28 (25-year-old). - Close contact with Case 1 and 2. confirmed by PCR - clade 2.2 strain of H5N1. [Mohammed Ilyas and Mohammed Idrees].
- Case 4: onset date:  21/11/07; (Mohammed Tariq) Fully recovered; Close contact with Case 1. Confirmed by serology test.
