Wild mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) were shot on 14 December 2012 at Hylleslev Enge in Varde Kommune in Jutland. A pool of 5 mallards were found positive by PCR and sequence analyse on 18 January 2013.
Laboratory results were positive for HPAI H7.
