Low pathogenic avian influenza virus was reported in Baixo Alentejo, Portugal. The strain was identified as H7.
The outbreak has been detected in the framework of the avian influenza surveillance programme and no clinical signs were observed. The infected premise consists of a backyard flock with 18 chickens, 36 broilers, 6 guinea fowls and 3 ducks.
Germany reports a Low pathogenic avian influenza virus H5N3 in Laying hens in Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis.
Tne Netherlands, an outbreak of H5N3 LPAI in Sint Annen. All susceptible animals on the infected premise have been killed (Approx. 9300 61 week old laying hens in 1 barn).
