Since 2006, 36 Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks have been recorded in Israel on commercial holdings/farms.
They were divided into the following (affected) branches:
1. Turkey farms (all but one for fattening; one was a breeding farm): 25 (69 percent of the total)
2. Broiler breeders: 9 (25 percent)
3. Light-hen breeders: 1
4. Broilers: 1
Not a single outbreak was reported from a table-egg layer holding.
