An Egyptian woman died of avian influenza on 30 October, bringing the total number of human deaths in Egypt to seven.
The victim was a woman from the Nile Delta town of Samanoud. The woman is a 39-year-old Hanan Aboul Magd, was admitted to hospital with a high temperature and respiratory trouble on Oct. 4 and was confirmed on 11 October.
Her death brings the total number of Egyptians who have been killed by the disease to seven. All victims have been female.
