Avian influenza was found in a northeastern Ukrainian village, Peski village of Sumy region, marking the first confirmation of the disease outside the Crimea region. Over 7,000 domestic birds will be destroyed.
The village of Peski has been put in quarantine to deter the spread of the virus.
