The Romanian veterinary authorities have reported a case of Newcastle disease to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The report, dated 12 October, covers a single outbreak of Newcastle disease in Tohanu Vechi (Brasov).
The outbreak started on 27 September and was confirmed on 11 October. A flock of 533 backyard poultry were affected.
