Newcastle Disease Outbreak in Israel

05.12.2012

Newcastle disease has been diagnosed in a breeding farm in Israel.
The affected birds are 33-week-old broiler breeders at a farm in Mashabei-Sade (Southern Israel). There are four pens of 10,000 birds in each.
Drop in lay was observed in two of the pens. Since the pens are isolated and the biosecurity is very high it was decided, not to cull the birds.
All eggs will be destroyed.
