About 750 chickens (commercial egg type layers) have died at a poultry farm in the town of Kiyotake, Miyazaki Prefecture (Miyazaki prefecture (Miyazaki-ken) is located on Kyushu island) , and highly pathogenic avian influenza is suspected as the cause.
