The velogenic Newcastle disease started out in Qalqilya (Palestinian authorities) and has now spread to different poultry farms in Israel. Today the disease was reported in 3 farms:
- A commercial egg layers (30 weeks old - 30,000 birds), at Hod Hasharon
- A broiler breeder farm (29 weeks old), 300 meters from the layer farm at Hod Hasharon
- A broiler farm (3.5 weeks old, 27,000 birds) - Tzofit (Central part of Israel)
