An outbreak of avian influenza was detected at a chicken farm in Paju, northwest of Seoul.  The outbreak of the virulent strain of the H5N1 virus is the 30th confirmed case since the first was confirmed on Dec. 31. Seoul said all 7,000 chickens on the farm have been ordered destroyed, and those within 500 meters are to be destroyed as well. Seoul has destroyed more than 3.8 million birds so far.
