A Georgia company is recalling five pound cartons of frozen egg product because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
American Egg Products of Blackshear, GA, said the recall was initiated as a result of a routine sampling by a private laboratory that revealed the finished product contained Salmonella. The company said it has ceased distribution and is working with the Food and Drug Administration to identify the cause of the problem. No illnesses have been reported (Food safety News).
