An avian influenza case was detected again on May 27 at a duck farm in Chiayi County's Dalin township after the virus was discovered in another township in Chiayi this April.
Kuo-ching Huang, deputy director of the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine under the Council of Agriculture, said the two reported cases of H7N3 virus might have spread to the farm animals from migratory birds.
