Avian influenza was found in a commercial turkey flock (145,000 birds) in central California. The farm belongs to Foster Farms. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that the facility in Stanislaus County, California has been quarantined and birds from the affected flock will not enter the food system. The strain is H5N8.
