Hong Kong discover first case of H5N6

H5N6 strain of avian influenza was found in Hong Kong for the first time in tests on a dead falcon. The carcass of the peregrine falcon was found in a construction site on Hung Yuen Road, Hung Shui Kiu on April 9.
The first known human case happened in Sichuan in May last year, when a 49-year-old man died after being infected with the strain. Another fatal case happened in Yunnan province in February. Outbreaks have also been reported in Vietnam and Laos.
