Iowa: A case of HPAI in Pocahontas county

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is responding to a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Pocahontas County. With this new announcement, Iowa now has 64 cases of the disease in the state. 

Pocahontas 3 – Turkey farm with an estimated 21,000 birds that has experienced increased mortality. Initial testing showed it positive for H5 avian influenza.
