Australia: a voluntary recall of eggs

13.03.2015

Darling Downs Fresh Eggs have voluntarily recalled some of its caged and mountain range products as Queensland Health officials warns of a spike in salmonella cases. The recall comes amid news of another salmonella outbreak in southeast Queensland.
It comes as at least 20 people were hospitalised after a suspected outbreak from a Gold Coast cafe Grocer & Grind. Last month two incidences of salmonella poisoning were reported linked to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, including one which impacted 200 school principals.
