The new outbreak is on a farm with 30,000 turkeys in Kandiyohi County in the west-central part of Minnesota. This is the eighth confirmation in a commercial flock in Minnesota.
The USDA and state officials have quarantined the affected farm and surrounding area and will euthanize all the surviving turkeys to prevent further spread of the virus.
